INAF IN A FEW WORDs

The National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) is the main  Italian research institution for the study of the Universe.

The Institute manages  and coordinates research activities in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics, both in collaboration with universities and with other public and private entities, both national and international. It designs and develops innovative technologies and state-of-the-art instrumentation for the study and exploration of the cosmos. It promotes the dissemination of scientific culture through educational and astronomy outreach projects aimed at schools and society.
