THE POLARISED SKY IN X-RAYS
with Sergio Fabian
Light has a property known as “polarisation” which can tell us the “shape” of astrophysical sources far away in the Universe. Just as we make use of this property of light in our daily lives, for instance when we put on a pair of “polarised” sunglasses, researchers build “special glasses” to view the polarised sky in X-rays.
